Hey friends, 👋
Last week, I talked about the importance of setting the tone for the day and how rising early helps me do so.
But then I thought, there's more to the story. How we conclude our days holds equal, if not greater, weight in owning our day fully.
So let's dive into that, in addition to the latest updates from my app business.
Unwinding: The Key to Next-Day Success
I wake up early. But the greater challenge lies in managing to sleep early — and doing so consistently.
A restful night's sleep sets the foundation for a day filled with productivity, creativity, and overall well-being.
I'm sure you’ve come across endless tips, such as blocking blue light, to enhance sleep quality. However, I like to keep things easy.
To put it simply, I minimize (and not cut) my phone usage in the evenings, avoid caffeine after 12 pm (social occasions being the exception), enjoy quality time with my family to unwind, and incorporate some light stretching before hitting the bed. This simplicity makes it much easier to maintain consistency.
These simple practices help me have good rest, and wake up ready the next day.
The point is, if you close the day out right, and set the tone in the morning, you actually own your days.
From Features to Fixes
In my business, delivering exceptional user experiences is paramount. A recent incident perfectly illustrates this commitment.
On Tuesday, I woke up to a support email reporting two bugs in Mockup.
I immediately put my planned tasks on hold to tackle these issues. Fortunately, I was able to reproduce the bugs quickly.
Within four hours, I addressed and fixed these bugs, tested the update, and submitted it for review.
Once that was taken care of, I resumed my original plans.
Ensuring a seamless user experience is my top priority. Introducing new features is secondary to upholding our users' trust and satisfaction.
That's it for this week. Thank you for being part of this journey.
