Hello there 👋
The past week was jam-packed with updates, from releasing Mockup 3.5 to working on iOS 17 features for the fall's update. Let's dive in.
Mockup 3.5 is Live
Finally, Mockup 3.5 has officially landed on the App Store last Friday.
This update introduces new features designed to enhance the wireframing experience. Users can now effortlessly insert ellipses, rectangles, and lines, as well as gain greater control over images.
These additions are set to make wireframing both smoother and more visually captivating for our users.
Interactive Widgets for iOS 17
In the previous issue, I mentioned that a "Recents" widget will be coming to Mockup. But that's not all we've been working on. Another widget will also be available: the "Preview" widget.
With Mockup, users can sketch and wireframe not only app and web designs but also widget designs. This experience is about to become even more immersive with the upcoming fall update.
From the home screen, users will be able to preview their widget designs. And with the power of interactive widgets in iOS 17, arrow navigation will let users cycle through their various designs.
New Drawing Tools
The fall update covers more than just widgets. iOS 17 will also bring more drawing tools, and of course, we'll support them in Mockup.
So, in addition to creating a new set of drawing tools, our designer likewise refined the existing ones. On the other hand, I coded and implemented the new tools.
The new tool will result in a variety of textures and increased precision.
Another Reason I love what I do
Allow me to share a personal reflection from this week.
It happened that I met an old friend at the gym. And while chatting, he mentioned that he had the day off, which is why he was able to make it to the gym at that time.
That instantly triggered a sense of gratefulness within me. I was reminded that I don't have to think or act that way. I don't have a lot of external constraints on my life as most people have.
It's easy to overlook the small blessings and the positive changes we've made in our lives. Moments like these serve as a wonderful reminder to appreciate the paths we've carved out for ourselves.
Thoughts on Meta Verified
So as you may know, it’s almost impossible to get in touch with human customer support for any of Meta’s products (Instagram, Threads, Facebook, etc.).
However, support is emphasized as one of the advantages of Meta Verified.
My account somehow shows “based in France”, and that prevents me from using Threads, which isn’t available in the EU.
So I reasoned that perhaps I can subscribe to Meta Verified and fix this. I tried both, chat and email support. And every time I got in touch, it was useless.
Turns out, they only give generic info which is already stated on their websites.
That concludes it for this week. Thank you for joining me on this journey. Until next time!
